Be sure to visit Johnson's Shutins, Elephant Rocks and  Taum Sauk , the highest mountain in Missouri while you're here.  Explore Bell Mountain Wilderness Area in Mark Twain National Forest  or take a hike on the Ozark Trail .  All are within a few minutes of our cabin.

Here are just a few of the things to do while you're staying in Black River Cozy Cabin. 
Johnson's Shut-ins just 20 minutes away, is unfortunately closed for restoration right now.  Spectacular rock formations and views are combined with the crystal clear water where the Black River, over millions of years, has cut through the rock to form the "shutins".  Click here to visit the website.  It's truly one of Missouri's natural wonders. 

Float our beautiful Black River.  For more information on our river, click here .  Bearcat Getaway , just a mile down the road is one of several outfitters in the area.  They offer float trips in canoes, rafts or tubes.
